Procurement Specialist

A jet manufacturer located in Little Rock, Arkansas, is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to liaise with vendors to procure required products and services.

Hours: 7:30 to 4:30, Monday through Friday

Pay: $30 an hour

 Duties include:

• Issue purchase requisitions and purchase orders related to the assigned commodities; after reviewing the relevant information.
• Follow up and expedite with suppliers if necessary, the timely delivery of products.
• Minimize shortages, while managing inventories and inventory parameters related to the assigned commodity codes.
• Negotiate with vendors day-to-day issues and verify that prices of purchases are fair.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field.
• Three (3) years' experience in Procurement/Purchasing +APICS Module 1 training, or 5 years experience of Purchasing/Procurement.
• Highly proficient in MS Office; Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, and an inability to communicate effectively with numerous departments and outside sources
• Proficiency in utilizing computerized supply chain manufacturing software.
